This is not THE official site of The Rotters or even AN official site of The Rotters. But I was an official member of the band for 16 years so that's good enough. If you would like to find out more from their official site, please go to www.therotters.com . I played bass in The Rotters from 1983-1999. Through those years, the members changed except for myself and guitarist, Phester Swollen. He was the last Rotter standing back in 2003 when the band finally came to an end. I jumped off the sinking ship in 1999.
Anyway, in the 90's the core members other than Phester and myself (I had dropped the name Darryl Ekt and began using Stink!) were Reed Williams on vocals and Kimon on drums. None of us, as far as I know, are still living in CA anymore. We've dispersed. I'm in EYE-DEE-HO, I think Reed is down in Tennessee, Phester relaxing in retirement bliss in the Cayman Islands, and Kimon is out fighting the Republican Rightwing front somewhere in middle Amerika.
In 1997 we recorded songs to go on our SWEAR MAN cd at the Can Am studios somewhere out in the Valley. We never really got to remix them, but I personally think it's some of the best stuff we recorded regardless of which members were involved. Unfortunately, no one ever got a chance to hear any of the songs. I've put four up for you listening pleasure, one, Down at the Strand, that I co-wrote. Enjoy!
