Straight off the streets of QUEENS , NY, where some of the most versatile and rugged rappers of past and present have originated enter NATURE BORN. Prepared to take this industry by storm and with force if neccersary, Cody Masino aka C. GUSTAPO, and Brian Turk aka B. ROCKWELL, have been putting down hard rap together since 1993. Neighborhood friends from MIDDLE VILLAGE despite a few years difference in age, GUSTAPO being older, quickly meshed in the studio and complemented one another incredibly. Growing up in the same environmment and experiencing together all the good, bad, and ugly this life has to offer the material they put out is a perfect reflection of it all. Raw rap raw style. NATURE BORN is more than a rap group its a family. GUSTAPO and ROCKWELL are all to familiar with the importance of "family", and that bond is apparent in the music. Where could you find better candidates to bring you that gangsta shit than two kids who came up in a hood that is known for being the final resting place for a few of histories realest gangsters? While the hood they were raised in has been signalled out by F.B.I since as far back as they both can recall. Needless to say this family is no stranger to the system and has managed to survive despite the red flags that seem to continually pop up around the way. Struggling to keep a real perspective in thier music, and un willing to sacrifice creativity by feeding into industry imagery, and Major Label marketing schemes, the duo quickly realized the only way to truly be felt is to get out there and make heads feel it. The groups tactics shifted from demo shopping to street sweeping, as they set out to make a name for themselves while earning respect first and foremost on thier own street corner and eventually in and around NYC as a whole. Like the song says "if you can make it there, you'll make it anywhere". NATURE BORN has also created a loyal fan base that has followed the group in and out of some of NY's hottest night clubs.
