Demons are more trustworthy if they are your own. They look for weakness, but repect a good challenge. They glow in the night like fireflies, appearing only long enough to register on your retina. They vanish quickly and wander on meandering paths. Just when you think you are alone again, they pulse across the yard.Yesterday a large green grasshopper sat on my shoulder while i drove. It scared me at first, but it whispered to me that our journeys would only be shared for a short time. Upon returning home and opening the car door, it left without another word, but i enjoyed seeing the world through its eyes along the route. I wonder if it understood mine.
