Awareness Rocks is projected to be an Annual or Semi-Annual Concert Series that will bring Nationally Touring Bands, Major Recording Artists, Up and Coming Musicians, Celebrities and the general public together to Learn, Teach, Broaden Views and Give light to under exposed issues. The first annual "Awareness Rocks" Benefit Concert Event will be benefiting ALLIANCE FOR LUPUS RESEARCH ( ALR ). Our hope is to bring nation wide awareness to a very underrated and seldom talked about disease, Lupus. It has been our experience that when mentioning this disease to someone who is not directly affected by it, we are met with a questionable and slightly puzzled look. When there are more people affected by a disease then there are by Sickle Cell Anemia, Cystic Fibrosis, MS or even Leukemia, you would think that the general public would (at least) know what it is... For promotional and sponsorship reasons we are pushing the date of "Awareness Rocks" to late Fall, 2007. Which isn't a bad thing, that just means that we have more time to work on this event and allow it to gain popularity. We are putting everything we have into this project not only because it affects us personally but because we believe in it and believe that through music we can make a difference!
