Brendan Eder

"Most of the last several years I've spent recording and producing up a variety of tracks and tunes. Much of them are vamps, experiments, and satires. During this time I've developed my composition skills and written compositions for a variety of instrumentation. Only in the last few years have I managed to have some works performed by Ray Pizzi and friends, the Santa Fe Community Orchestra, a string quartet, and fellow students at the College of Santa Fe."In 2007 the Santa Fe Community Orchestra gave a reading of a short orchestral piece entitled "March of the Nudes" by Eder at the Santa Fe Opera. On March 14th 2008 Oliver Prezant and the SFCO played "Sinfonietta," which won Brendan the Ellis Prize for Composition established after the SFCO co-founder and Santa Fe Community Treasure, Jody Ellis. More recently, Brendan's String Quartet was performed along with other College of Santa Fe students' works at CSF. He also recently composed music for "America's Secret Weapons," a show airing on the National Geographic Channel. Brendan is interested in writing music for film and television and has done original music for student films/documentaries and for the National Geographic Channel.
