Pheramone is a magazine publisher and the often times the voice of reason for this wild bunch. Liz Lova is a registered nurse, self taught video editor and “the flirt.†The Getm Girlz decided to put everything on camera and record their story of how they balance their families, careers and dreams in every episode. A typical week for the girls may include taking the kids to school or football practice, attending PTA meetings, having dinner with record labels, shooting videos on South Beach and of course, partying like rock stars. At the many industry events that they attend, it is work. Pheromone is busy snapping photos, Nay is interviewing celebrities while Liz is recording everything. Their story is ready to be told.Sometimes things don’t go as smoothly as planned, but this is all a part of the growth and struggle women across America are plagued with. As if the group’s current situation wasn’t interesting enough, their past is even more intriguing. The dynamic of the crew is fascinating; together, they are a convicted felon who spent time in prison, a young widow and a former juvenile delinquent. Yet despite the past, they have all pursued their dreams with a vision and focus that is unparallel. Meet 30 year-old Liz: a Filipino registered nurse, single mother of two, self-taught editor and the crew’s unofficial producer. She is considered the matriarch of the group, as she has always been the one the rest rely on for love and support which is quite amazing for this pint-sized beauty. Liz loves to cook and often feeds the herd of friends and family who gravitate towards the crew. She is a great dancer which surprises many who assume she is tipsy when tearing up the dance floor. But, she is sober and always looking out for the girls whenever they hit the clubs.A mother first and foremost, Liz has been known to reduce men to childlike status leaving them out on her doorstep if they don’t act right. Observed as being the quiet and shy, Liz is actually a feisty, hot tempered, sex kitten who uses her looks and sweet demeanor to get whatever she wants. She’s “Lizzie†a registered nurse by day and Liz Lova by night! She is Daddy’s girl and daddy often ends up footing the bill for her lavish lifestyle when she herself cannot do it alone.Liz has been best friends with Natalia and Farrah for the last 15 years and currently lives in a lavish home with Natalia and their collective four children in the suburbs of Wellington, FL. Her twelve year old son, Chavez, is in middle school and plays football. His father lives in Dominican Republic and doesn’t help Liz out financially. Nine-year old Gabriel is in the fourth grade and the star of his football team. His father is completely absent and Liz has been battling the court system for child support for the last three years.Liz’s choice in men often hinders her growth financially and mentally, but this usually makes for entertaining dinner conversation. She was recently engaged to a man that took her heart and emptied her bank account. She turned that experience into a positive one by throwing the now infamous “I’m Not Getting Married†party to celebrate her newfound freedom the night that her wedding was supposed to take place. This event was captured on camera and the DVD was blasted on Myspace and Youtube. The response that this event created inspired the Getm Girlz movement to take their stories to TV screens everywhere.This positive attitude is why Liz is an inspiration to women everywhere. She does not need a man to define her position in life and she is constantly moving forward creating the best environment for her and her children. She has a very successful nursing career, takes care of her children, volunteers with her sons’ various activities and last but not least, looks out for her friends.When the lights go down, Liz reaps the benefits of having best friends in the business.
