Alienating everyone since 1981

About Me

Jon's moving back to NoVA, bitches! I'ma climb trees again... woot.
And now for something a little different:
No two people see the world through the exact same eyes. For each of the billions of people walking around every day, there is a whole world that is known only to them. Sure, some people may share one or many of the same opinions and views, but there is always something in each person's head that is a unique perception of how they really view the life around them. What one sees as a perfectly rational decision may appear totally insane to others around them.
So just remember, kiddies: Your opinion is the most important one in the world. This is because, by all counts, you're the only one truly living in it.
Also, if you like DnB (or want to know what it is) and/or you want to hear one of my sets, the only one I know of that is hosted online is my slot from dirtboxradio.com from July 1, 2006. You can get it from here -- http://dirtboxradio.com/archives.html ...If you click the 192k it'll stream, so I suggest you right click and "save as" in order to hear it.
I have recently hooked up with the mad skillz of the 463 DnB krew, and these kids definitely know musik like whoa. We play at the Bluestone Tavern from time to time, so definitely keep watch for those shows and COME THE FUCK OUT TO PARTY. Hit me up for show dates.

My Interests

music, cartoons, and arboriculture

I'd like to meet:

Music:

mainly dnb/techno and then some - basically, I like everything except what is now considered the "new big thing" by the masses, because all these new trend bands absolutely suck and have no soul (except maybe the white stripes). I also hate country music, except bluegrass. LOVE the bluegrass. banjo pickin' like what! Beck is my favorite artist ever. Lately I've been on this Soul Coughing and Modest Mouse kick. Even more lately, I've been on this (older) Incubus kick.
This is the awesomeness: a Method Man song done by Mindless Self Indulgence set to the animation of FLCL

Movies:

y'all should really check out "Whatever happened to Harold Smith?"I dig the comic book/fantasy movies from back in the day with Batman and Superman to the X-Men movies, and most recently V for Vendetta.I watch more comedy movies than anything, though.

Television:

adult swim (ATHF, SL2021, Harvey Birdman, Boondocks, etc.), FOX animation (Family Guy, American Dad, Simpsons), sitcoms (70's show), Entourage, and most of all stand-up comedy (Dane Cook, Dave Chappelle, and Mike Birbiglia are my favs)Oh, and anime. Dork.

Books:

Manga and Harry Potter. Uber-dork.

Heroes:

Aquaman
