I am first born of Obaye. I am a memory planted by my ancestors. Rooted in greens and roti and blackeyed peas. I am the heart of the pen stroke, the space in bewteen the lines, the sparkle in my mothers eyes. I am lost sometimes blinded by insecurity and fear. I am found in laughter and tradition. I am the holder of stories written in a language that even I don't fully understand but I hold them close to my heart. I allow them to flow through my veins coloring my blood sprinkling it on Obatala's mountains and in Oshuns honey and rivers. I am Ade Ola. The crown of success. First head of Obaye. I am me. Writer.
