About Me

Right now you are probably listening to something rather strange, or rather groovy.
Good day, and thankyou for visiting me and my sound. I don't know how you've come across me, but hear I am. As you can hear, I make sound. Mostly sound that tries to groove you or move you. However that does not mean it has to make you cry or dance. I am here to make friends and contacts, and what matters to me is that you take a small amount of time to listen to my music, or read a blog. I use Reason, and Ableton to record my music. I am a producer but a musician first. I'm going to study Jazz at uni nxt year.I'm currently looking to work with like minded people who like making music. That sounds very vague but I tend to play it by ear (excuse the pun!). Anyhoo, welcome to my myspace, although really its ourspace.
"Mode of Jazz"
A fairly new piece which serves as a tribute to the "Modern Jazz Quartet" of the 50's. A fantatstic post bop band with the all time legend on vibes, Milt Jackson. Check them out. You also might have noticed that I didn't quantize the drums.
"Clever Pencil"
This is a more ambient piece which I wrote on piano. I like to think that this song has a fairly unique feel just becuase I'm playin piano rather than a looped sample. I would call this jazz. It is improvised and is groove based. I'm working on more material like this, it sounds fresh. I like!
"Nowadays"
A tune inspired by a recording I accidentally made when I was at une park chilling avec friends. All the instrument playing and programming is by myself.
It got da funk.
"Grizzly Jack"
Grizzly Jack lives in a wooden hole. If you anger him then he takes you traveling.

From mind to music, and improvisation

When you are listening to a song you really like, I'm sure you often sing along or tap your foot/feet/arm/elbow. If your singing along, do you often hum your own ideas that complement the song? If you...
