In 1997 / 1998 first results of the cooperation by Alexander von Prümmer and ToM Manegold were audible, up from the first tone they were different ......deliberately atonal, intentionally monotonous. subHUMAN was born. It was not a brand new idea to produce Industrial just by mixing up the sounds and ambient noises of one´s proximity.... but sound of everyday life has changed distinctly.... pieces of newscasts and the barrage of (des)information were combined with the background noise made by the omnipresent subliminal or pushy advertising, supplemented by sounds of the digital revolution, supported by techno sounds, distiorted beats and orgiastic hardcore. The outcome is a wide rage of unvarnished brute tracks: Bad News Entertainment for the masses!
The first album Antisedativum was released in 2000. They worked together in seperate residencies, but steadily connected by the, at that time, recent DSL....the mode of operation was very pure: sending tracks from one to another and working only by drag and drop underground hits like Burn Baby and Alles Teuflische!f? were created. Still, the sound and the including CD ROM Bonus Sektion are up to date.
In 2004 Scum, a conceptional EP , has followed. This EP was like a revelation. All the tracks and soundscapes are melting into a trash opera while listening. These sneaky dancetracks for the Industrial / Electro scene, are composed of screams, sirenes and shots, alienated sounds of accidents and other morbid samples. Scum is sending the audience on a trip through hell of human beeing..... into the madhouse, where the Crack Baby is screaming. "Scum" was packed in a rubbish bag and is already sold out. But three tracks will be released in alternative versions on the next album.
Lobotomy 4 the Masses, the new concept album, of subHUMAN, will be released 2008- after one year of silence. A fine appetizer, Wardance II (WW5), is to be found on the Zillo Club Hits 11 Sampler. Varied labels of this small industrial scene were made clairaudient by this track. By this, the two DJs and conceptional performers have paved the way by leaving a memorable mark. So watch out for Lobotomy 4 the Masses, and the upcoming live dates of subHUMAN.
Alexander von Prümmer is involved in many other projects of music and art, like URBAN-CULTURE, "Takemitsu", "Monosex" or "Rapid Cell Destruction". ToM Manegold is author, journalist and one of the important DJs of the German Gothic and Electro Scene.

1997/ 1998 gab es erste Ergebnisse aus einer Zusammenarbeit von Alexander von Prümmer und ToM Manegold zu belauschen, die von anfang an anders waren... bewusst atonal, bewusst monoton... subHUMAN war geboren. Industrial aus Alltagsgeräuschen war ja damals schon nichts grundlegend Neues... jedoch hatten sich die Alltagsgeräusche merklich geändert... und so wurden aus Nachrichten, aus dem damals neuartigen Bombardement des Konsumenten mit Werbung und (Des)Information, aus Geräuschen der digitalen Revolution und des Bad News Entertainments brachiale Tracks erstellt... Hinzu kamen Techno Sounds, böse Beats und die Effektorgien aus dem Hardcore....
Das erste Album "Antisedativum" entstand um das Jahr 2000 in Eigenregie und in getrennten Wohnungen, schon damals nur verbunden durch das noch neue DSL... Man schickte sich Tracks hin und her, beschränkte sich auf drag und drop ... heraus kamen Underground Hits, wie "Burn Baby" und "Alles Teuflische!" und ein sehr kaputter, technoider Sound,der sich aber auch heute noch hören lassen kann, weil er, wie die CD ROM Bonus Sektion durchaus noch zeitgemäß ist.
2004 folgte mit "Scum" eine Konzept EP, die einen Quantensprung offenbarte. Die zusammengehörenden, ineinanderlaufenden Stücke entpuppten sich als hinterhältige Dancetracks für die Industrial/ Electro Szene, allen voran das Stück "Crack Baby". Inhaltlich führte uns die Orgie aus Unfällen, Sirenen, Schreien, Schüssen und weiteren verfremdeten Fetzen quer durch die menschlichen Abgründe von der Straße direkt in die Irrenanstalt. Das streng limitierte Kleinod wurde artgerecht im Mülltütendesign vertrieben und ist inzwischen ausverkauft. Drei Tracks werden aber in alternativen Versionen auf dem kommenden Album zu hören sein.
Nach einem Jahr der Stille, in dem sich beide Akteure vornehmlich anderen Projekten widmeten wird mit "Lobotomy 4 The Masses" 2008 das neue Konzeptalbum von subHUMAN heißen. Einen kleinen Vorgeschmack darauf gab es bereits mit "Wardance II (WW5)" auf dem Zillo Club Hits 11 Sampler. Dieser Track machte auch diverse Labels dieser kleinen Szene hellhörig und so ist der Weg frei für den nächsten Streich der beiden DJs und Konzeptkünstler, die auch jenseits dieser Kollaboration äußerst umtriebig sind.
So ist Alexander von Prümmer in viele andere Musik- und Kunstprojekte verstrickt, wie z.B. "NeoIcon", "Takemitsu" "Monosex" oder "Rapid Cell Destruction". ToM Manegold arbeitet als Autor und Journalist und ist einer der wichtigen DJs der deutschen Gothic-Electro Szene. Nach der Veröffentlichung von LOBOTOMY FOR THE MASSES werden die beiden (mit Verstärkung) dann auch wieder LIVE zu sehen sein.
