I do not usually like to talk about my self. I am what you would call an introvert; a little bit shy, that is until I get to know the person. It is in my nature to screen below the surface layer by layer to learn about the person instead of what he or she is trying to project.
It is truly an intriguing process, to peal each well-constructed wall and reach the person inside. The direct route is always my first option. It is because I so do not like mind games. Playing with people's emotion is a double-edge sword, you never know what kind of reaction you will receive. So before I ask something I always weigh out this question, What is the worst thing that the person can tell me beside saying yes? We all know the opposite of that is no. It is so simple I can handle it. Umm! How many times had family members, friends, colleagues said that to us? Well, if we can accept such response from people that we care about, it should be easier from a stranger depending on how you choose to deal with the situation and what kind of emotional rollercoaster you are riding at that moment. This question always appeased my worries and put things in perspective. It is amazing how much road blocks we usually put in our way when we thought and feared the worst giving away our power so easily to others.
If you get to speak with my family and friends, they will say I am a nice person, serious, opiniated and stubborn; which I will not bother to deny, it is the truth half of the time. I am generous with my friendship, loyal to my family and friends. First and most of all, I am passionate about God.
I admire honesty in people. The truth will probably hurt for a brief period. However, lies, lies will create a wound that will fester and like a malignant cancer can get you kill. To the best of my knowledge this is what I always offer people and let them take it the way they want. Some finds it rude to be direct and to the point. Well, if you expect fake, then I am probably the last person you would want to communicate with, for I love being myself too much. The hours in the day are too precious and life too short to waste.
By the way, you should know, there is no such thing as coincidence, it is something I am learning everyday which never seize to amaze me. Even the people you encounter by chance and bumped against into the street may have a say in how your life will turn out, only you do not realize it at the time. That is why, whatever I may be feeling now, whether it is good or bad, I will try to learn at least two things from it that can make me grow as a person.
The one thing I appreciate the most about the internet, it makes our world seem smaller. I am always delighted at the opportunity of conversing with people from all over the world and learning about their cultures because I would realize, we are not as different as we may have imagined. Some of them, I am proud to call friends. Their presence in my life have enriched it a great deal. We are unique yet alike.
It is the mystery of humanity which allows me to use this quote and emphasize a point: Life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved." I enjoy living and participating in life, it propels one towards the next day's adventures and memories to be had.
I am also devoted to writing. It is such a freeing tool yet commanding. That is why one should be careful on how it is utilized. For words yield power to build, destroy, enchain, or liberate. I decided to use it as a tool to teach and share what little wisdom I may have amassed. To a world going off-kilter, loves for words keep me sane. It is my hope, it will do the same for those who choose to read it as well.
That is all for now!"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." -Lao-TzU
