Traveler

I consider myself blessed to be able to have seen some many great place, and I have experienced so much more then I could have dreamed of as kid growing up in Oklahoma.
I have seen the country I call home from the New York islands to the Hollywood Hills from Seattle to Atlanta. I have had a picnic on the beach of a beautiful ocean and hiked glacier formed summer snow feilds in the Cascade Mountains.
I swam with the fish and sea life of the warm in the Caribbean; I have sat amongst the Mayan city remains of Tulum and Chichen Itza. I have been able to enjoy the sunset from a hammock on the soft sand beaches of Jamaica. I recall the taste of the Tasman Sea and it's warm summer waves. My mind has been forever painted with the mosaic landscape of New Zealand.
My current adventure finds me in Massachusetts. I live in Edgartown MA, on the island of Martha's Vineyard. I work for two historic hotels. The Kelley House and Harbor View Resort.
I have just moved into a house. Prior to the house, I stayed at the hotel and then above the pub in rooms that will surly fall through in the future. The building is about 200 years old and nearly burned last week. To say the least, I am so happy to be into my new house. The owners are great, the area is great, it's close to work yet far enough away.
I have been in the house for a few weeks now, and feel right at home. My roommates are good guys and we seem to have no problems. of course, we are at work most of the time.
Finally the trees are green here on the island. the people have started to show. the island is alive. If you ever have a chance to come out to MV, you should. It is an island and should be in a different world. The island moves at it's own pass. The shops are open when they want and the peopls eat dinner with a couple bottles of wine. It's laidback but busy. It;s what New England should be.
