Matera started his career in 1993, playing at clubs in Rio de Janeiro like Swithhome, Maxims, Elturf e Mostarda. And then, in the year of 1997 he got interested in electronic music, but just 2 years later he started playing trance & progressive.
Since then, he beacame one of the main deejays of his kind in Brazil , started to play at Klatu Barata Niktos parties in 2000 and got associated with ZMA records in 2002.
Quickly he became a national name playing in the main clubs and parties of the underground scene. Places like São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, BrasÃlia, Florianópolis, Manaus, Uberlândia, Trancoso e Curitiba are just a few of them.
Hes always playing in the biggest parties and festivals like Trancedence, Celebra Brasil, Ypy-poty, Solaris Dance Festival, Tranceformation, Brazilians Trance Festival, Universo Paralello, and others.
In the year 2003, He became a member of the Tropical Beats Records, label of his friend Claudio Brio, James Monro and Jokke Ilsoe. One year later, Pena, a great name of the portuguese scene invited him to become a member of Flow Records.
Matera is developing now the project Sideout that has 2 releases launched by Tropical Beats Records.
His style is a mix of house and electrohouse with a little bit of trance and techno.
His mixing technique is unique. He provides to the dance floor an image of someone who knows what's doing.
