The project Nyctophilia started with the year 2006. A solo project, an idea dreamed by a daemon who's been doing metal and other sorts of evil music since 8-9 years... and now concretized, in the form of a debut album.
The sound... the aim is a duality in the sound, combining harsh guitars and drumming in the middle, and dark ambience synths, often epic sounding, on the wide sonore space available by the use of the mono-guitar. All this to emphasize on the synth themes, to bring to your vivid imagination a fever dream of occult and darkness.
Nyctophilia's debut album, "Night in Fire", has 9 tracks, for a playing time of 44 minutes. It talks about the quest of some anonymous and unknown occultist, getting in all sorts of unnamed strange places in the world to get his hands on the literature, spells and old books he seeks. He has taken the left hand path, and intends to master it and become one with the Horned Beast, Shaitan.
