I've always had a love for all music. Everything from Rap, Rock, Jazz, Classical even a little country (very little) I digs some Johnny Cash sometimes. But my greatest influence in creating FIGHT MUSIC was movie Scores. Fight Music is, in effect, the SCORE to the groundbreaking instructional DVD "INTERNAL DAMAGE." I originally had no plans on putting together a soundtrack. I just knew I wanted to put together a banging score for the film that I shot. Since the subject matter was COMBAT Tai Chi, I wanted music that emphasized the combative nature of the video. Most people think of Tai Chi as a soft meditative art and muscally they think of Classic Chinese music or corny-ass new age music. The tracks in FIGHT MUSIC are a blend of classic film score elements mixed with Hip Hop beats, aggressive turntablism and rock guitars. Most of the songs have no lyrics as they were designed to get your PRACTICE ON. The slower Jams are designed to get that Chi Flowing. And a few songs may inspire you to go out there and fly somebodies motherfuckin' head. (I take no responsibility for any fights that may ensue from listening to these tracks...LOL)For the most part "FIGHT MUSIC" is part of a larger venture and that is promoting TAI CHI CHUAN the way it was originally created as -- A FIGHTING ART. So this is FIGHT MUSIC. GET YA HANDS UP -- SCRAP!
