"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, ready or not here I come...!"
Let’s go back to the beginning. The birth of Fugative started at the end of last year, through Myspace, where Fugative and Darren Martyn were re-united after seven years, when, as a small boy, Fugative would spend all his free time at Darren’s studio in Brick Lane. It was in these early years that Darren became an inspiration to Fugative , and created the passion and drive in him to choose the music path, which would make him one of the youngest music geniuses of our times.
In January 2008 the master-plan was created, with the teaming up of Fugative and DMP‘s hot producer, Darren Martyn. This proved to be a ‘match made in heaven’, with the penning of the most amazing tracks, for Fugative’s debut album ‘Prince Of The Playground’ , which is already near to completion, and features collaborations from Kele Le Roc, Sadie Ama, and Johnny Douglas.
'Prince Of The Playground' was a concept borne from Fugative's school-life, which mirrors the pain and joy of our own adolescent experience:
'Mr. Bully' - the boy that everyone fears,
'Miss Honey' - the teacher that is every school boy’s fantasy
'Too Young' - true to its title, too young to enjoy the pleasures of adulthood, yet too old to be a kid.
Then comes the massive summer anthem 'Summertime' - the ultimate 'feel- good factor' song about school finally being out for summer and good times on play, with sun, girls, fun and frolics!
For his young years, 14-year old Fugative has blasted on to the UK music scene with the biggest ban imaginable!
Hisunique commercial flow being the main ingredient, which has packed his debut album 'Prince Of The Playground' with solid gold singles, appealing to the mass audience out there.
On hearing for the first time, 'Prince Of The Playground' immediately injects a sudden recall to the brain – sublime, with its humorous undertones.
Fugative has created a new music genre of his very own … 'Hip-Pop’ , as he quotes: ‘Hip-hop with a commercial pop twist’ .
The launch of Fugative , just two months ago, has totally sent the music industry into a complete state of shock! Here is the return of the true teen idol, with ‘Summertime’ having opened its door to a massive teen-fan following.
‘Summertime’ , which initially entered the main Channel U chart at number 19 and then just a week later, rose unbelievably to number 2 … bearing in mind that the obvious chart contenders, which Fugative has now overtaken, have all been recognised artists, already established and boasting National radio and press campaigns under their belts, and mostly all signed!
Fugative’s debut single ‘Summertime’ has grown at an unprecedented rate by the day, with video views well in excess of 100,000 plus , already breaking records of currently being one of the most-requested videos! A mass of fans already impatient, have acquired ‘Summertime’ as their ring tone, whilst eagerly awaiting its release.
Fugative kicks off his Nationwide tour with Luminar’s Liquid and Envy venues in July and August, throughout his home-ground of Essex, thereafter, taking the regional road in September.
Darren Martyn of DMP Productions has an amazing musical
curriculum under his belt, having worked with artists such as;
