"Aliens and Strangers" on iTunes!

About Me

"Why Lancaster Transit hasn't been signed to Tooth & Nail Records yet is a mystery...This is some of the most fetching indie rock since the heyday of The Sundays." - CDReviews.com

"Just about everything is lovely on "Aliens and Strangers," the perfect summer disc." - Whisperin and Hollerin

"The group also flirts with trip-hop and drum and bass textures, producing a modern folk rock that is delicious to the ear..." - Shotgun Reviews

"[Lancaster Transit is] a Christian electronica/pop duo reminiscent of Imogen Heap and The Postal Service. From folk songs to dance music, from complex orchestral arrangements to pop singles, their debut album Aliens and Strangers has it all." - CDBaby.com

Their debut full-length album, "Aliens and Strangers", is on iTunes, CD Baby, and Snocap, so pick one up today!

Combine the electronica/trip-hop styles of Frou Frou and The Postal Service, the soft piano and guitar motifs of Death Cab for Cutie, complex, layered vocal sections with soaring harmonies, and intimate folk sensibility and you have Lancaster Transit, a duo born out of the frustration of the static state of the Christian music industry. Melissa Lancaster, the producer and vocalist, creates vocals reminiscent of Imogen Heap with words of hope in a dismal world. Zach Gannon, the instrumental half of LT, creates fusions of folk, trip-hop, orchestra, pop, and electronica which mesh to form truly unique songs. Both write the lyrics and melodies together, forging a sound comprised of both members, not led by a frontman (or woman in this case). Their debut album "Aliens and Strangers" was released this May, so pick up a copy for yourself!
