I began my film career as an actor, appearing on popular night time drama shows ENG and the international docu-drama series Top Cops.
Following the interest in the action behind the scenes, I attended Ryerson University to study film production. Upon completion of my film studies, I began working the technical side of production with commercial clients such as Pillsbury, Stouffers, Paramount Multiplex Theatres and Rogers AT&T, eventually becoming a member of the Directors Guild of Canada.
Here I've worked my way around from production assistant to assistant director and learned how to work the floor on feature films such as John Q starring Academy Award winner Denzel Washington, On The Line starring Gregory Hines, and 10,000 Black Men Named George, starring Andre Braugher, Charles S Dutton, and Mario Van Peebles.
Music videos have been the main road in honing my directing talents, with videos for R&B artists Kaybe and Heat, reggae artist Inspector Lenny (featuring In Essence), alternative punk band Thousand Foot Krutch, hip-hop artist Garfield, and the 2003/2005 Juno Award-winning reggae artist Sonia Collymore.
I have also directed a series of commercials for West 49, and I'm also developing several dramatic scripts that i hope to bring to the screen in the near future. In a recent interview I mentioned my favourite motto. The fear of criticism is suicide in the court of innovation. That means that I cant be afraid to push the envelope, and I can't be afraid to be creative. I've learned a lot and I'm still learning. Stay tuned for the films to come from BanduluFilms!
