At in early age RED was brought up through rough times with his mother who moved south after "REDs " birth only to come back to NY after a couple of years. Time in and out RED was in trouble in school that soon led to the law. With help with his family and close friends RED picked up a niche for writing. Becoming a teen RED went to school with that compisition book in his back pocket and soon enough detoured school in took notes in the streets of N.Y. In and out of trouble in school he then dropped out, but never left that pad alone(compisition book). to his amaze RED wrote poetry and RHYMES to the beats of the STREETS and his HEART. Crafting his work came with time through the struggle he lived in which was dealt around poverty in the time where drugs ruled the hood in the 80's RED found peace and inspiration in writing. RED then came to likes with others in his hood known as BLACK JEWEL who at the time had something in common RAppin, REppin & the energy to make it with no other option. Family that worried about RED soon came to a calmy thought he soon linked up with his older brother, 'that was a gift and a curse, "SMASH" , states. RED & SMASh going through the same struggle kept close with both having the same desire to write joined and made DAUNION. RED was sent to prison to do another bid this time a 3-to-6 & SMASH already doing time for his crime both vowed to commit to the craft of writing. Bumping heads upstate then seperated they continued on with DAUNION. SMASH coming home first put the ground work down for rRED. There on RED & SMASH with DAUNIION went on to make FIVE cd's. RED started to get notice through his style and vocals on the CD's & soon started working on his SOLO project with original tracks from different producers. Starting on his solo project came to tragic ending...................................................... ..................... .................."RED" will not be forgotten, his music thoughts & spirit will be carried on through his two lovely boys.
