Hello! My name's Meryl, or Mrs Gummer. I live in the Tribeca area of New York City with my husband, Don, with whom I have had four children - Henry, Mamie, Grace and Louisa. I love these five dearly and above everything else. Without them I don't know where I'd be, although I would probably have a lot less washing to do. I work as an actress, mostly in films, although my real passion is for the stage. My wanting to be at home with the family restricts the amount of stage work I do, because it's a very time consuming thing. It's a decision you have to make. Katharine Hepburn once said, famously, "you can do one or the other. You can't do both." and while I've managed to do quite a few movies, it definitely applies to the stage, in my experience. I am very content with film acting for the most part, though!
What to write about. . . the world of MySpace is slightly foreign to me. . . perhaps something about what I like to do? Yes. If my readers are still awake at this point. I love to see my friends - it's gradually become harder and harder over the years, as my schedule becomes ever busier (not that I'm complaning!), but I just love to have a free evening when I can go out to dinner with them, or have them to stay in Connecticut. I also love to spend time with my family, of course, although it's also becoming a more difficult task to round all of the kids up at once.
There is so much about myself that I can't really put into words. . . at least, not without writing an entire essay, which I suspect is not the point of MySpace at all.
