I am here for Friends

About Me

So I'm home now, living in the US for the first time in four years and I'm already loving it. You don't realize the everyday comforts until they're unavailable to you. Like air conditioning for example. I'm so used to living without it that I find myself bundled up in sweatshirts at home, with my parents looking at me like I'm a crazy person. After spending the last few years on a tropical island like Grenada and then a much bigger island, halfway around the world (Australia), you would think that a place like Stuart, FL would seem so mundane. But I am actually enjoying it alot. Going to a restaurant and getting service with a smile..what a concept! Having more selection in the Publix supermarket than I even know what to do with..fun! And being with family and my marly again..probably the best part of this whole transition. Do I miss some of it? of course. Nothing beats the caribbean waters or the sight of kangaroos on the golf course on my evening walks. But this is a new chapter for me which I am very excited about. 2008 promises to bring me more challenges (the first being the exams I have to pass in order to officially become Dr. Laura Ejups)..but I have a feeling it will also bring lots of excitement and smiles as well. I am looking forward to seeing friends and faces I haven't seen in ages. And I'm going to keep up with the positive thinking that changed my life this year. Wishing a safe and Happy New Year to all! :0)

My Interests

I love seeing wildlife I've never encountered before, reading non-school related stuff when I get a chance, hanging with my new mates and cuddling with my patients at the vet school. ..
