"Where's Topper" is a original musical by Nancy and Stephanie Sidley. Based on the 1937 film, "Topper" and the popular 1950's TV series of the same name, "Where's Topper" made it's debut in 1997 to rave reviews. Nancy and Stephanie first worked with Jon Newton and Karl Mansfield to arrange their original music. Recently, the duo have rewritten the entire score with the help of Mr. Rob Shrock. Mr Shrock is the music director for Burt Bacharach and has produced original tracks for "American Idol 2". He has recorded for Dionne Warwick, Elvis Costello, Aretha Franklin, Ronald Isley, David Foster, Sheryl Crow, Chrissie Hynde and Luther Vandross. He has been a host for legendary artists as well as serving as one of the music directors for the 2000 Academy Awards.
"Where's Topper" is a upbeat musical comedy that follows the "life" and "afterlife" of free spirited Gail Winters. After her mysterious death, Gail enlists the help of middle-aged, Cosmo Topper, an unhappy married man, who needs some adventure in his life but doesn't know it.
Follow Gail, Topper and a wacky cast of characters in this fast-paced, who-dun-it, musical comedy. Featuring tracks, "What Happens Now?", Gail's lament after realizing she has been murdered and "Is It You?" Ann's sad song about losing her best friend, Gail. Also included are the rough-cuts of "Chemistry" and "Spooky".
