Blue Diamond Washed in Red Fire

About Me

I grew up listening to Tori Amos, The Smiths, The Sundays, and Morrissey. I wrote a few songs in college, where I first picked up the guitar. I currently perform sporadically and want to play out more when I can.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Right now it is just me, but I am always looking to collaborate.
Influences: Every fiber in PJ Harvey's body. I know every line that she breathes. Also, I listen to Interpol, The Decemberists, Modest Mouse, Elliott Smith, Cat Power, Garbage, Portishead, Sneaker Pimps, Tori Amos, Morrissey, Fiona Apple, Loquat, The male trio of The Strokes, The Editors, and The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, The Sundays, Aimee Mann, Greg Laswell, David Ford, The Cary Brothers, Sarah Harmer, Coldplay, Poe, Madonna, Mazzy Star, Plumb, The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, Beth Orton, The Cure, U2, Radiohead, movie soundtracks (Think "Cruel Intentions" genre), and jazz on days when I need to kick back. In the car, I find myself jamming to hip hop. I also love hearing and supporting local musicians, especially people who write and perform their own music. Their vulnerability and delirium is priceless.
Sounds Like: I have been told that I sound like Jewel with a hint of Alanis Morrisette, but truthfully, I don't listen to either of these artists.
Type of Label: None
