Youth Against Youth Incarceration

About Me

YAYI is a youth led movement who are serious about changes. Our focus is youth, education and finding alternatives to not sending our youth to jails/CYA(DJJ)/prison. Our struggle is a fight, not a cause, to shutting this, still operating, system of slavery down. We are open to all and any member, regardless of age, but up front...this is our [youth] fight. We [Youth] are the ones who are being harassed, locked up, killed, and who are going through unexpected turns in life that becomes our struggle everyday of the week and every hour of the day.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

YAYI is looking to meetâ€¦Youth who are interested in really making a difference in their life and in their communities. YAYI would like to meet families, people who have experienced and are experiencing injustices--incarceration, foster careâ€¦home and community issues--and willing to share their experiences in order to find a solution. We want people to be willing to continue this fight, and hold on to what is right for everyone in order to build us, our communities, and this movement, against the wrong that we all face and are affected by.
