"Flipside of Overdrive is an acoustic rock duo from Baltimore, Maryland. Formed in the summer of 2003, an array of home demos were recorded and a handful of local shows were played over the next year. Sometime in 2004 Flipside of Overdrive mysteriously vanished and remained hidden underground until the time was right to emerge. The songs survived and in late 2006 Flipside of Overdrive was called upon to surface with one goal in mind: World Domination."Flipside of Overdrive is Danny Olson (23; vocals, guitar) and Jesse Rommel (25; vocals). The music is simultaneously light-hearted and dark, melodic yet sporadic, and catchy while still remaining interesting and intelligent. Uniqueness and artistic quality are both a focus and a reflection of Flipside of Overdrive.
Flipside of Overdrive has played at Baltimore venues such as the 8x10, Fletchers, the Ottobar, the Sidebar, and the Hamilton Arts Collective to name a few, alongside acts such as Gary Jules, Peter Adams and more.
