Music has always played an intricate part in Jaspa’s life. From the moment he picked up his first keyboard at the age of 7, Jaspa knew that music would be a part of his life. Originally from the UK, now residing in Canada, Jaspa’s journey has spanned many years and across a variety of genres.Formerly from the renowned Canadian rap Group Plaiskool, Jaspa found his mark in the electronica world as a Trance DJ. His move from rap to trance was easy because “As a Trance DJ, I get to take people on a journey. You deliver the sound and they follow in harmony†comments Jaspa.With the release of his debut album A Long Time Coming, Jaspa has made a name for himself as a performer and as an accomplished producer in the world of electronic music. He has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Trance music and performed alongside renowned hip hop artists such as C&C Music Factory, Maestro Fresh Wes and the Dream Warriors, to name a few. In addition, DJ Jaspa is involved with a number of compilations and licencing opportunities at home in North America and around the world.A Long Time Coming climbed the charts of College and University radio stations within the first few months of its release. Jaspa has also been featured, interviewed and has appeared in a wide variety of print, visual and online media publications.From the internet, to radio, to magazines and even television, Jaspa is no stranger to the public eye. After holding down a residency at Vancouver’s premier hot spot for Trance, Jaspa has teamed up with a growing super club production / promotion company, LIFT. Not only is Jaspa working alongside some of Western Canada’s most talented DJ’s and producers within LIFT, he will also be sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in Trance.The music has been kind to Jaspa over the years and the present is no different.
