The Radical Family was formed in early 2002 through divine appointment by God. What started as 3 young men loving to play music at any opportunity given, has developed into a North West London based Gospel Sound System, who have played at functions and events throughout the UK. Coming from a very strict and ‘old skool’ church background, their foundation has been built on the principles of fasting and prayer. More than just playing music, they understand their role as declared by Isaiah that ‘The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings ....To appoint unto them ...the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness’. Their versatility captivates any audience, and the enthusiasm encourages praise.“The name Radical Family was chosen because we realised that we need to be RADICAL in our walk with Christ and with spreading the message of love, peace, hope and salvation through Gospel Music. And, FAMILY, because that is what we areâ€.Since the Sound System Launch Release The Shackles in April 2002, they have played at The Brent Food Festival, His Majesty Sound System (HMSS) Launch, 3rd Dimension - Tsunami Charity Appeal Concert, 3rd Dimension Easter Cracker Gospelfest, Birmingham Carnival, God Corner (Notting Hill Gate Carnival), Soul Survivors Retreat, Str8Up @ The Click Club, and numerous private events and Gospel Radio shows."God has been allowing us to make links with likeminded artists, sound systems and people who share our desire to have a positive effect on our youth and community while winning souls for the Kingdom. This has allowed us to develop in what we do, and in ministry. God has been faithful, and we proudly declare that ‘Jesus is the only way’.â€When approached to host a show on G-Force Radio, it was viewed as God opening a door to take them to another level in ministry for HIS Glory. They currently host the ‘Radical Reggae Show’ on G-Force Radio every Thursday from 9pm -12am. The show is for all listeners, especially those that love Reggae Music and offers great interviews, and features on up and coming artist.
