i'm allison joy.

the two most important things you should know about me are as follows: #1 - i am a christian, and Jesus Christ is the only reason any part of my life makes sense. He is my everything. ("This is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." 1 john 4:10) without His GRACE, i'd be nothing. He understands me, encourages me, accepts me and loves me as i am, and fills me with His life. i know i've been held by Him and guided by Him since i was young, and though i've strayed from His path at times, He has remained faithful to me. :) #2 - i am happily married to my best friend in the whole wide world, aaron. we've been on an adventure since we began, and i'm so grateful for every minute of it. he is my balance, my calm, my soul mate, my kindred spirit, the love of my life. i am learning more and more every day what an incredible man he is, and seeing how blessed i am to have him in my life. :)some nitty-gritties: i am a hoosier, happily displaced in california! i love it here!!! i'm surrounded by beauty. :) i'm an artist. i adore my kitties, emma and ellie. i love a good, loud laugh. i'm left-handed and proud of it! most people don't know it, but i'm a singer. i want to see the world and i'm going to. i can't imagine my life without music. i wish i could renew my wardrobe with a shopping spree at urban outfitters, anthropologie, and h&m. addie is my favorite of my nicknames, because my little brother gave it to me when he couldn't say my name when he was really young. love love love makeup and all things girly. christmas!! eee!! :) baking is one of my favorite past-times. i'm a bit of a perfectionist, which leads to some struggles with procrastination and insecurity... :( i'm an emotional person. i am dyslexic. my brother, best friend, and husband all have the same name. i'm a bookworm. i wish i had more time to read! more than anything else, i want to be a mommy when i grow up. history fascinates me. dr. pepper is my beverage of choice. i love words and dictionaries and thesauri. i miss art school every day of my life. i'll go back someday. i definitely prefer macintosh computers. i drive a honda civic named harriet, who was named after a character in my favorite movie, which happened to take place where i now live!! yay!!
