David Somerset Barnes began his music career young, lying about his age to DJ R’n’B and Hip Hop music in local bars and clubs. He was then accepted at music college on the strength of his singing ability, whilst there learning piano and guitar. After joining his first covers band Rocking Chair, he went on to create his own band The Somerset Barnes Project, writing and playing laid back blues influenced R’n’B and performing across the UK and New York . David is also a regular on the London cabaret scene, performing at The Pigalle, The Soho Revue Bar and Madame JoJos . He is currently appearing with The Somerset Barnes Project, soul bands Funkify and In colour, cabaret act The Magic Faraway Travel Agency and burlesque troupe The Bears.E mail; [email protected]
