About Me

I've always been a cross between a jock and a nerd with nerd usually winning out more often. I was into sports in college but quickly discovered that individuals who were good athletes in high school were a dime-a-dozen in college. SO...I didn't get to play as much as I would have liked in college, and I screwed up my left shoulder, so I eventually turned my baseball in for a bright white pocket protector.
Over the years I started realizing I had a serious problem with books, so I entered a 12-step program for recovering nerd's. I’m getting a little better, but I keep backsliding a few steps by reading all those damn medical books. Someone please help me.
I enjoy SCUBA Diving, hiking, Skydiving, running/working out, motorcycles, and just about anything else that keeps my endorphins surging and excitement high. Hey, I really do need a new dive partner if anyone out there is willing. However, those with an I.Q 55, or UT graduates (same thing) need not apply. ;)
As for looks, you can clearly see that I’m not the most handsome man around, but I'm not the Hunchback of Notradame either; especially now that they’ve surgically removed that massive hump from my back. Before that I just put a hat on it and acted like I was carrying someone piggyback.
I hope you know I'm kidding about the hump thing. If you don't, I'm either loosing my sense of humor or you don't have one. In the later case, you'll probably want to quickly move on to someone else’s profile. ;P

My Interests

I enjoy motorcycles, SCUBA diving, Skydiving(been a while), music, sports (LOVE sports), and reading. I freely admit to being and adrenalin junkie and tend to be more of a doer than a watcher.

I'd like to meet:

I have no idea now...I thought I knew but not anymore. Let me think about this one for a while. :)

Music:

Taylor, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, The Fray, James Blunt, Bond (HOT chicks with great rhythm), Squirrel Nut Zippers (jazzy blues), Rob Thomas, and the list goes on and on.

l also have the full 70's and 80's CD music collection. GREAT TIME FOR MUSIC.

Movies:

Sleepless in Seattle, Notting Hill, Casablanca...OK, I'm a hopeless romantic; but I also like Saving Private Ryan, Dumb and Dumber, Forrest Gump, and any movies Saturday Night Live cast members have done (they're usually a riot).
A Friend of mine (Jenny) reintroduced me to “Gone With the Wind”, and I have to admit that I now love that movie too.

Television:

I realy don't watch much TV, but when I do like to watch House, and Grey's Anatomy. The nerd in me likes the History and Discovery Channels. I also love to watch British, but I have a bad habit of not getting into a sitcom until it's already in reruns.

Books:

I love history and historical fiction, but I also enjoy books by Dan Brown, John Grisham, William Safire (some), Jeff Shaara, Dean Koontz, Michael Crichton, Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Tom Clancy (his older books), Jack McDevitt, and many others.

I also read the hard stuff, which includes medical journals / books, and other types of non-fiction...however SOME of the "non-fiction" political science books are actually "fiction". Shhh....it's a secret. :)

Heroes:

MY TEACHERS PET.. hehe...

My Blog

Never make someone a priority in your life if they consider you optional in theirs.

I have a very big heart that I give away all too freely. To date this has only left me with heartache and emptiness. Well, after being kicked around all too many times...I'm changing. From this point...
