Watsons Grocery

About Me

Watson's Grocery started in the late 90's by Ayyo and Matt Jones. Their style was crusty "Yamaha Tape 4 Track" but it had authenticity. They completed their first album in 1998, but only hit the hands of a few people. This is the first time Watson's Grocery has blessed their music with the public...And we swear to bring the chunkiest, meatiest, lovliest form of Hip Hop to savor your taste. Oh yeah! Be sure to check out the free samples on the soundclick aisle. "www.soundclick.com/watsonsgrocery". Watson's Grocery records is currently formulating albums for Tommy LIVE and Ayyo. And of course the beats are multiplying by the dozen....

Sounds Like: Our sound is unique and it has so many different styles so its hard to say what we sound like. That's mainly why we named the group Watson's Grocery, because its like going to a grocery full of sounds. Shop at Watson's Grocery and who knows what you may get. We mix a lot of jazz, 70's funk and breaks, but we also have some raw "play this only at night" tracks. You know the joints that make you wild out so hard that you blow out your tire.
