They have fused their unique styles together to bring the art back into music. Combining intelligence and experience, Meauzz chilling vocals are the perfect score to Knewrawtick's poetic flow. With influences covering most genres, Johnny Be Damned cannont easily be categorized. Vocalist Meauxx has travelled the world, enlightening crowds with her angelic voice, being compared to legends such as Billie Holiday, Mariah Carey and Toni Braxton to name a few. After spending three years in Asia performing at such prestigious hotels as the Dynasy in Beijing; the Grand Hyatt in Seoul, South Korea; Grand Hotel in Shanghai and the Park Lane Hotel in Hong Kong; Meauxx returned to Halifax, Nova Scotia and established herself in the underground scene as well as performing at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Atlantic Film Festival. While performing the comedic "Grandma McWalton" role in the play "the McWaltons", Meauxx injured her leg falling throught the stage and returned to Cambridge, Ontario to recover and begin woring on her solo album. It was in the basement studio of a local producer where she met an MC and Poet known as Knewrawtick. Knewrawtick has been writing anything he could think of since he could spell. An avid reader with an animated imagination, Knewrawtick has been aweing audiences with original flows, clever word play and deep concepts for the last 6 years in the Souther Ontario Hip Hop scene. After meeting Meauxx, the two completely connected and vibed together. After a short time, they decided to take their show across the country for six months, performing and staying in cities such as Regina and Kelowna, BC to name a few. After returning to Ontario, they started recording together and further developing their sound and base. While performing local Jazz shows as a duo, with Meauxx singing and Knewrawtick providing the music and score, they have enjoyed much success in performing for the last year. Now with their sound and style well apparant, Johnny Be Damned is prepared to take their show on the road once again, with North American and European Tours in sight, an album in the works, and a foundation set look for Johnny Be Damned to shine on the world stage very soon.------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------"...
