Kantango is a quartet of talented musicians. They go across all the different declinations of tango, with artistic skill, appropriate tradition and a generous spirit of innovation.The band started in 2000 in Naples, and in six years they have performed in more than 300 concerts in very prestigious locations of music and culture, in Italy and Europe.The sound of Kantango lives in the special beat of antonio fresa (piano), giacomo pedicini (up-right bass), armand priftuli (violin), sasà piedepalumbo (accordion)On 19th of May 2006 they release for Microcosmo label/Mediterranea Music Factory their first cd, titled Mà sidiomà s------------------------------------------------
------------------------On June 19th 2009 Kantango's are going to release their new album titled “Ida y Vuelta†, where they melt tango with world music and electronic, being helped by several superstars like the French-italian accordionist Richard Galliano, Amada, the Cape-Verdian singer Lura, the French-indian singer Rupa, the Tunisian singer and percussionist Marzouk Mejri and the prominent Afro-peruvian singer Susana Baca.
