Dark, brooding, and experimental, H.A.Y.W.I.R.E. is an eclectic group mixing several genres of music from all over the globe. Mixing pop hooks, hard rock and more modern elements into a unique sonic sculpture.
The brainchild of east coast producer Steven Cambian, H.A.Y.W.I.R.E. began as a studio experiment but has recently evolved into so much more. After creating what was essentially a solo effort for a debut CD "Bleak..." Cambian enlisted the help of some friends to bring his songs to live audiences. Over time, those friends and others have come and gone, but all have left their mark on the patchwork tapestry that is H.A.Y.W.I.R.E. In November of 2004, after seeing H.A.Y.W.I.R.E. perform, local guitarist Steven Estel (Skank) was recruited as a member of the lineup. The band performed nearly 50 shows through the end of 2005, the lineup remaining essentially unchanged.
Over the last 5 years H.A.Y.W.I.R.E. has grown and adapted into arguably one of the most distinguishable bands to hail from the Philadelphia area in quite awhile.
H.A.Y.W.I.R.E. is an independent creative force with their own music and video production studio (Subculture Studios.) The studio has enabled them to create music and videos on a near zero budget that are able to compete with far more funded projects. Passionate, evocative, and always evolving, H.A.Y.W.I.R.E. stands out as a serious creative force in the music world.

H.A.Y.W.I.R.E. has had as many sonic incarnations as members. As anyone in the music industry knows, finding the type of syncopation to make a band work takes both time and a bit of experimentation. The latest lineup has taken our unique blend of sound and turned it into a musical experience rarely seen in a local music community. With hard riving rhythms, emotionally-charged lyrics, and melodies that seem to come alive, this is by far the most solid we have ever been.
