Dancing and music is a way of life! I love dancing, all kinds, but especially salsa and flamenco! Other than that I study psychology at Uppsala University!

La Isla Margarita, salsa dance with Vassili and the group Children of the RevolutionDance bio
23 year old dancer Emilia Bustos is half Swedish and half Spanish. She has delighted audiences all over the world with her unique blend of salsa and flamenco. Having spent much of her childhood in Spain, the birthplace of her father, she developed a passion for flamenco and other forms of dance. She discovered salsa in her teens and traveled to Cuba to study. Since then, the journey of dance has taken her all over the world. She has studied salsa, flamenco and Argentinean tango all over Latin America and Spain. Emilia also has a great love of teaching and performing and has done both extensively throughout Europe and the United States. In her home city Stockholm she performed with group “Salsa Libre†and in Barcelona, Spain with Argentinean tango Master Jimmy Ray. While living in Sweden she also held numerous weekly classes in both salsa and flamenco. During 2006 she toured and performed full time in North America with partner Vassili in popular World Music group Children of the Revolution. Emilia’s dance performance with Children of the Revolution was recently featured two consecutive weeks on Seattle’s Channel 21.
