Don't push your politics on me pal!

About Me

Hi, I'm Rick, a 23 year old Library Science grad student at Pitt. I grew up in the country, but like the variety of city life too. My friends say I'm kind and easy to get along with, although I am liberal with dispensing smart-alecky wisecracks. I'm very curious and talkative, so conversation is pretty natural for me. If you are intelligent, open, and unpretentious, we would probably make good friends.Click to vote or add your own!

My Interests

Whatever crazy notion strikes my fancy at the moment.

I like learning, conversation, healthy food, new experiences, physical activity, books about history, my guitar and sunny days. oh and "no-way, me too!" moments, as well as "wow, its a small world!" ones.

I'd like to meet:

You and your single sister.

Music:

mostly guitar rock, folk, and old country/bluegrass.

This is some of the most kickass guitar playing i've ever heard. Slash with Guns n' Roses in their prime, live.Blues Jam

Movies:

historical, or classic.

Television:

I look at the tvguide.com and wonder what show can i learn something from? Ideally, I find a historical documentary. Other than that, I just use the tube for background noise or to clear my head and relax. I like Arrested Development, the Simpsons, and Magnum P.I.

I'm currently reading . . . Sons and Lovers- DH Lawrence

Pride and Prejudice down!

It was long, sometimes boring and trivial, but by the end, I found myself really pulling for Lizzy.  Glad that her and Mr. Darcy finally got it together, although was there ever really any doubt?...
