About Me

Antoine grew up in Dolton, Illinois and went to Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, the same school as several other Ballers including Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb and Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Simeon Rice.He was a key factor in the University of Kentucky Wildcats 1996 NCAA Men's Division one Basketball Championship-winning team. As a freshman at the University of Kentucky Walker was named SEC Tournament MVP.His sophomore year he was named to the All-SEC First,All-SEC Tournament and also All-NCAA Regional Teams. After his sophomore season Walker declared for the 1996 NBA Draft and was picked sixth overall by the Boston Celtics, where he was selected to three NBA All Star Games. Nine days before the start of the 2003-04 season, The Boston traded Antoine to the Dallas Mavericks. The next season he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks for Jason Terry, Alan Henderson and a draft pick. While with Atlanta, he averaged 20.4 PPG,9.4 boards and hit 85 3-pointers in 53 games. On February 24,2005,Walker finally returned to the Celtics in a deal that sent Gary Payton,Tom Gugliotta,Michael Stewart, and a first round draft pick to the Hawks.Walker went on to carry the Celtics to the playoffs but Danny Ainge didn't respect his game,so On August 2 2005,he was involved in a 5-team, 13-player deal(the largest trade in NBA history) that sent him from the Celtics to the Miami Heat.Toine was an instrumental part of the Heat's run in 2006. He started the season on the bench but solidified his place as a starter by providing scoring and leadership during Shaq's injury early in the year. He continued to provide a solid third option throughout the playoffs and the NBA finals. In his first finals appearance he averaged 14pts 6rebs including series highs of 20pts in game 2 and 11 rebs in the clinching game 6.Three point Master:By the 2000-2001 campaign Antoine had become the NBA's leader in three point attempts. Throughout that season, he shot 37% from beyond the arc, a solid percentage for a power forwardHe again led the league in 3PA's in 2001-2002 with 645. In 2002-2003 he attempted 582 three-point shots. All Time Record: In the 2002 playoff first round series against Philadelphia, Toine' knocked down six 3 pointers in the second quarter alone, the most ever in one quarter of a playoff game.Career highes:Points:49,Rebounds:21,Assists:14 twice,3pt made in a game:9 twice,In a season:222 in 2001-02,Steals:6,Blocks:4.
