AUSTIN-BASED MODEL STRUTS AWAY WITH THE TITLE OF MISS SPOKESMODEL INTERNATIONAL 2008
DALLAS - In a fierce competition at the culmination of the Miss Spokesmodel International Modeling Competition, models attempted to prove that they could hold their own on the catwalk as industry players took note. But after several rounds, Andrea Hill strutted away with the title of Miss Spokesmodel International 2008 with a beauty and grace that commanded the attention of judges and earned her over $5000 in valuable prizes. On the heels of previous contestants such as America’s Next Top Model and Cover Girl Dani Evans, Andrea Hill is undoubtedly well on her way to taking the fashion industry by storm.
Launched in 2001 by Narvell Productions, The Miss Spokesmodel International Modeling Competition is one of the most esteemed modeling workshops and competitions in the Southwest. Founder, Ivory Narvell, one of the industry’s leading fashion stylists, designed the event to help aspiring models hone their modeling skills as well as get feedback from industry players that can open doors to a successful future in the business. One of the most unique aspects of the Miss Spokesmodel International Modeling Competition is that while other workshops and competitions often prevent hopefuls from participating based on strict height and weight requirements, Narvell’s event welcomes women of all body types to showcase their talent and learn from industry pros in a nurturing environment. Past participants have gone on to land lucrative modeling contracts, roles in major motion pictures, spreads in widely read print publications and other exciting opportunities throughout the world.
This year Andrea Hill, a 22 year-old model from Austin, Texas walked away with the title. She competed against 31 other beautiful, dynamic women. “We had a lot of great talent to enter the competition this year, but it was Andrea’s portfolio and her interview as a spokesmodel that made her standout and solidified her as the winner,” says Ivory Narvell. “Andrea is a memorable model in person and on the stage and that’s why she was selected as Miss Spokesmodel International 2008.”
Andrea Hill will receive over $5000 in prizes courtesy of this year’s sponsors, including Gisela Prishker Photography, Faces By Briana, Peek-A-Cheeks, and PTizics Designs. As the winner of the competition, Andrea received a contract with Peek-A-Cheeks swimwear; six photo shoots with high-end photographers, makeup artists and hair stylists; custom made clothing and jewelry; spa treatments; and two spreads in Supermodels Unlimited Magazine. Additionally as Miss Spokesmodel International 2008, Andrea Hill will be expected to make at least 10 personal appearances as well as devote time to a charity of her choice. “As the winner, I’ll get to take advantage of so many opportunities,” says Hill. “While the chance to work with numerous renowned photographers, make up artists and Ivory Narvell herself, is a dream come true, I’m most looking forward to being a role model for young future models out there and proving to them that don't have to degrade yourself to be successful.”
