About Me

Who am I? You know, every time I think I know who that is, I find I am wrong. There are always more depths to who we are than our conscious mind will let us see. There are so many minute details that shape how our mind grows, and which point of views we form. It is like looking at a forest through a microscope. You can step back and enjoy the beauty of the whole, or study the cells that make up the individual blades of grass. In a lifetime you could never truly understand the why of its existence, or the intricacies of how it all ties together.

So I guess that is the answer... who I am depends on how you look at me. Either way, I am just me.
Thanks for being a friend and showing your support.

"Always put yourself at the service of the song. Hits may come and go but a great song can last a long, long time. Never quit listening to new music--or old music, for that matter. Never, ever dismiss a segment of the music-loving audience because you don't like its tastes. Mean what you say, but don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. Love really is a burning thing. Don't worry about your technical limitations. You don't have to be the best, but whatever you play, play it like your life depends on it." -Brian Mansfield

Influences: It started with Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, James Taylor, Smokey Robinson, and The Drifters. I later discovered The Police, Howard Jones, Nick Kershaw, U2, and Duran Duran. For a period I found my self embroiled in the metal craze as I listened to (and tried to play) Fates Warning, Ozzy Ozbourne, Metallica, Queensryche, and Steve Vai. In the 90’s I found myself jumping around on stage while screaming the lyrics of Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Faith No More, Living Color and Rush. In college I would grab my guitar and head to the beach party to play songs by The Counting Crows, Gin Blossoms, Van Morrison, and Sting. There was a short stint of coffee shop gigs filled with Dada tunes. The most influence came from bands that I had the pleasure of working with as a live sound engineer. There was S.M.O., Dear America/Acoustic Workshop, Ethan, Butch Walker, The Pondering, Shades of Grey/Blinding Sol, Tommy Thompson, Hobex, Edwin McCain, and the hundreds of other unknown bands that left a musical mark on my soul. Lately… John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Chevelle, Killswitch Engage, A Perfect Circle, Anna Nalick, Aslyn, Matchbox 20, Gavin DeGraw, 3 Doors Down, Cold, Jeremy Camp, and Maroon 5.
