About Me
Introductory statement:A new creation has been ignited and its going to take more than water to put this flame out. The music scene in Dallas is heating up and soon to catch fire and one of the hottest flames is an R&B group called Seduce. In this day and age the typical R&B group has one lead singer who leads 80 percent of the songs while 3 or 4 people back them up. The group Seduce is clearly in a league of their own. Not only is everyone in the group capable of being a solo artist, but they are all well educated young men who are in college at this present time. Some would say that they sound likeBoyz II Men while some say Silk, but if you asked them they would say that they sound like no other. When you're watching them perform harmonizing so perfectly its almost like pouring gas on a fire its almost impossible to pull them off stage once they start. This group is absolutely phenomenal, and you can tell because when you see them perform you will truly feel every word that pours from their hearts and souls. This group is bringing back R&B to the fullest. This unorthodox all-star cast consist of 3 real singers: Anthony Brown Jr.(JR)-tenor, Cory Walker (Coress)-alto, and Chris Spillman (Ntysing)-soprano. Seduce has the talent to let every member dazzle the crowd single handedly. The group met in the summer of 2005 at a local house studio in OakCliff. It was owned by JRs uncle Carvin Morgan. Mr. Ezra Brown who's J.R's brother told him about the studio that their Unc owned. Chris (NTysing) from Lincoln High School in South Dallas was so happenly at the studio when J.R came over one day so they met. They sung for Unc and he was like yall sound real good so Chris and Anthony formed a group. Eventually they added on Cory (Coress). Having a familiar background made it easy to establish a special bond amongst the group. All three singers introduced their skills to the world just like most other R&B singers, in the church. Not only were they members of their own church choir, but also members of their high school choir.Throughout the year 2005 Seduce made a name for themselves singing whenever and wherever. But whether it was The Parks Mall in Arlington, Talent shows, or singing at someones wedding, Seduce always steals the show. At the rise of a new and starting career, tragic soon struck Seduce in the fall in 2005, when their manager gave up on them over a disagreement about a beat to one of their songs, and the group was upset at the lack of his effort towards the group. This didnt discourage the group not one bit. Although they had no manager, no studio to record and no money to pay for studio time, they pressed forward basically managing themselves, keeping the dream alive. In the early winter they were introduced to business partners Derrick Turner and Keith Spillman, cousin of Chris Spillman, who saw the potential in the group and gladly accepted the role as acting managers of Seduce. It was later established that Derrick and Keith would be the new managers of Seduce. With Derrick and Keith bringing structure and music industry knowledge to an already talented bunch, the group soon became more organized and determined than ever pressing to leave their mark on the industry. Seduce had their first Christmas show within weeks at Valley View Mall. Despite equipment failure Seduce managed to astonish the crowd singing accapella, off stage in front of the audience. When all else fails Seduce can always rely on their God given talent to squeeze out of sticky situations. With determination, self-motivation and confidence, Seduce clearly has what it takes to make it big in the music industry.Seduce is currently working to put the finishing touches on their self entitled debut album Seduce. Songs like Considering You and Babys House make it clear that this group can reach all ages. With groups like DSR getting signed to Universal opening the door and hopefully drawing attention to the Big City of Dallas, Seduce is hoping to be one of the first male R&B groups out of Dallas, Texas to hit mainstream. With sheer determination and hard work they're destined for the top.We have been criticized because of our group name, but it hasn't stopped us yet, says JR. We use the negative feedback to endure as fuel for the fire and we just step our game up a notch.. As long as the ladies happy, we happy.
