About Me

Following the release of the self-produced “Murder from the Skies” EP in 2007, Pilot:X have now released their latest offering “Dead in the Air” onto the music scene.Pilot:X’s lineup was completed in 2006 and was succeeded by a year of heavy practicing and writing under the influence of such luminaries as Reuben, Oceansize and Hundred Reasons. The band recorded a 4-track EP, independently producing and assembling the “Murder from the Skies” EP, which was released in April 2007.
With this under their belt they began to play a variety of gigs across the Farnborough/Camberley area. Notable dates include 27th April supporting Oceansize, and 30th June playing the Fleet Party in the Park music festival as a part of the Fleet Carnival.
Encouraged by feedback from promoters and peers, the band entered the studio in the summer of 2007 to record a new EP, this time under the guidance of Angus Cowan of Redwood fame. The result of several weeks of work was the 3-track opus “Dead in the Air” EP. The first track from this release, “Fall to Rise” was unveiled on the band’s MySpace, and has received a great deal of positive feedback from fans, becoming a crowd favourite at gigs.
The EP was released across a variety of digital distribution methods, including (but not limited to) iTunes, Napster and emusic in hopes that their music will reach further afield.
Physical copies of "Dead in the Air" are also available from the band and at shows.
The band are now looking to play many more gigs in a bid to get their name out there and expose the world to the sound of Pilot:X
