MyGen Profile GeneratorIn February 2008, I released my album fossils. The album is a delicate recording that came from many years of life in this extraordinary desert. Gathering samples from my surroundings became the premise for its creation. Fossils from a distance appears to the listener as a broad sweeping landscape but upon closer listen it reveals its iridescent, kaleidoscopic nature. The album represents an awakening to the ephemeral, ever shifting and evolving consciousness of this universe. Having spent much time away from the album, I have been striving to reinvent my sound and push it forward into a new and expansive dimension. Where I have ended up is somewhere between civilization and nature, much like the place I find myself living in. My next album mosaic is taking form and embodies a need for community, connections and collaborations in this intense time on earth. Each song features a collision with a different mind, each working in his or her own medium, be it a musical instrument, voice, video or visual art. The collaborations include: guitarist Nick Quiller, vocalists Natalie Pohanic and Vanessa Trasser, videographer Jeejung Kim and sitarist Corey Doyle among others. These interactions make up the patchwork pieces of a larger work, and my role is simply to be the thread that ties them together. I'm enthusiastic about the direction that its taking and welcome new artists with open arms. The album will be released sometime in winter, 2009.WWW.SCOPARECORDS.COM
