About Me

..

I break hearts, Edward suspects.

And Romina would usually say what a smart little kid I am. I sort of take her word for almost everything.

Ren calls me precocious and I'd like to say that I have more faith in Ren's words than on mine. I do have this general distrust on myself that I can't place.

How I wish I could tell people that I'm more "picky" than they think. But have never afforded this luxury just because I'm nice.

Mindfucker right here. I fuck brains like I sin.

My Interests

Art history, ballet, cerebral activities, chatting up total strangers, checking misnomers and grammatical errors on the morning tabloid, coffee, environmental issues (tree-hugger, you think?), feminism, gay rights (fag), (duh) music, philosophy, politics, pop culture, Quantum Physics (Hawking fan), solving the crossword puzzle (preferably ALONE to maximize self-gratification), observing people's notable facial features, witty-cism, writing and Billy Corgan's allusions to Youth.

I'd like to meet:

For everyone, there's a 135+ IQ pre-requisite. (I kid.)

But seriously, don't be stupid.

Music:

Arcade Fire, Ani Di Franco, Apostle of Hustle, Avenue Q (Fuckin' Broadway!), Beck, Belle and Sebastian, Björk, Broken Social Scene, Clap your hands and say Yeah!, Cynthia Alexander, Elefant, Explosions in the Sky, Fiona Apple, Feist, Frédéric Chopin, Hum, Interpol, Joanna Newsom, Khatchaturian, Ladytron, Le Tigre, Mazzy Star, Mirah, Mogwai, PJ Harvey, Radiohead, Red Sparowes, Sigur Ros, Sonic Youth, Tchaikovsky, The Cardigans, The Flaming lips, The Knife, The Metric, The New Pornographers, The Postal Service, The Smashing Pumpkins and Tori Amos. (Actually, there are more, I probably just forgot.)

Movies:

Amelie, Before Sunrise & Before Sunset (sap), Breakfast at Tiffany's (sap), Cassanova (New version - the banter is so fucking hilarious), Closer (for hot men and women with an ample amount of neurosis), Coffee and Cigarettes (for the times I fancy myself noir-ish), Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind (the overstatement is unnerving), Frailty (it's just a freaky movie), Il Postino (beautiful), La double vie de Veronique (she's beautiful), Lost in translation (get this a lot), Maynila sa kuko ng liwanag (I know a lot of people get sick of this during holy week, but it's fucking brilliant. Quite possible the best Filipino Film ever made), Kiesolwski's Tres Coleurs: (Bleu, Blanc et Rouge) and Waking life.

Television:

What's on lately? I watch the news.

Books:

Too bloody many so I'll write this by author: Douglas Adams, Robert Olen Butler, A.S. Byatt, Jim Crace, Stephen Hawking, Milan Kundera, Gabriel Marcel, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Sylvia Plath, Philip Pullman, Vladimir Nabokov, Salman Rushdie, Marquis de Sade, Jean-Paul Sarte, Oscar Wilde, Jessica Zafra, etc.

Heroes:

Nein.
Maybe Nietzsche

The crickets that keep me sleepless and the room of white elephants - suffocating

I'm so spent. And it was quite a stunt I pulled. Yesterday, this man tried to yank out my guts to examine it by using a procedure he appropriately calls a "Background check". We've been neighbors for ...

Where is all this sadness coming from?

"Where is all your sadness coming from?" Erika pressed for it, and I think of a tissue being ripped away from a paper weight in my head."I honestly don't know," I suddenly felt dead weight. Erika has ...

Damn, it slipped.  I completely forgot how to start this entry, but I know that what I was supposed to say was profound if not obnoxiously pseudo-intellectual.   I don't know.  At leas...

I love like Sabina

I love like Sabina. Reference to Milan Kundera. It's like I want something so bad, but I only have substitutes. So I exhaust the substitutes. But since I don't have what I want, I ...
