About Me

We are a four piece up tempo rock & blues band. We got together in November 2004 to start rehearsing and started gigging in February 2005 playing covers mainly from the likes of Dr Feelgood, ZZ Top, JJ Cale, Cream etc. In August 2006 our original drummer, John, decided to call it a day. We're still not sure why, but he said he would help out if and when he could. Current bass player is Mark who moved into the fens from Ipswich and we collared him through the Free Ads, and to complete the line up is vocalist James Watson who had no previous band experience apart from watching them and getting inebriated. He has however suprised everyone with his powerfull vocals and recently was likened to "Captain Beefheart!" object width="425" height="355"We now have a new drummer. We rehearsed with Andy James and it didn't go too badly so he has decided to join us. The leader of the band is Gary Compton on lead guitar. He gets a good old sweat on and is not as fat as Jimmy, but probably a little less solid due to Jimmy's love of guinness!LATEST NEWS: The band have decided to call it a day after Jimmy handed his notice in a few weeks back.. We had our final gig at Elme Hall on 30th Sept 2007 and Paul "the doc" Whyman from the Blues Tubes joined us for the whole gig.. During the afternoon we got Danny "hair of the dog" up and Sam Carter who had depped for us in the past... There were many friends there who we've met on the way and a good time was had and many beers drunk.....It was a nice note to finish on... Thanks to all who have supported us in the past... See you around.........JimmyRock Me Baby-Elme Hall,March 2007
