Born Nicholas Hinkson, Teff grew up on the small island of Barbados. Reserved in manner as a young'n, the path to rapstardom was hardly imaginable when looking at Teff - this was soon to change. Reggae and dancehall were always favourites but the many trips abroad brought a new infatuation with hip hop. At school he was sent to the principal many a time for interrupting class with a few rhymes or distracting other talking about music. Making it to the most prestigious high school in Barbados helped develop his vocabulary and clever word manipulation. This combination led to the Teff we know today...
In finding himself and finalising his style out came a fusion unlike any other. Instead of conforming to one given genre, what could be heard from much of his music was predominantly rap vocals on dancehall and reggae influenced production. This fresh sound will be sure to blow the minds of music lovers worldwide. With Teff and Minim working diligently behind the doors of the Worrell Bros. Studios, only heaven knows what masterpieces 2k7 and beyond will produce.
