Living honestly, eating slowly and lieing about my age

About Me

To quote Lucille Ball- The secret to staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age. I have to say it is a great way to live. Humor with honesty and taking each day slowly and enjoying it is what Lucy meant. We could all stand to take a page out of the red headed wonder's book. Seriously though I try to live honestly, am working on my own self image and well love to laugh and have a good time. I'm a loyal person who will stand by his friends when it isn't convenient and is passionate and caring to a fault. I tend to be loudish and have inner monologue issues. Like my friend Jennie says I tend to be the guy who is talking and says something completely inappropriate when the whole room goes quiet and I am in midsentence. As embarrassing as that is I've come to accept it and adopted the phrase of TOO SOON MORGIE as a part of my life. I love to laugh and situations like these have given me a reason to just laugh at myself. I love to travel, have tons of goals to accomplish and well would love to invite as many people into my life to help me accomplish them as well as help accomplish theirs.

My Interests

Conservation, School, Politics and by that I mean actively trying to make a difference and having some clue of what is going on in the political realm other than being able to say that GWB is a dumbfuck, Looking for the right guy, Working, Hanging out with all my friends at starbucks, Reading really crazy books that challenge the fabric of what should be "normal", Clubbing, And thinking about all the crazy places I want to go and things I want to do in my life.

I'd like to meet:

People who live life with the spontaneous nature of a child. Some one who can teach me to do the Helen Keller with my hips. Just kidding on that one. Great people who have amazing zests for life. I want to make more friends, and meet some great men. I'm looking for a mister right and all that comes with it.Anyone who's not afraid to admitt that they're a dork, wierd, a nerd, a bandgeek, a dreamer, or a hopeless romantice without the ability to communicate how much they love someone.Someone to help me train penguins to tap dance to Puttin on the Ritz for the circus.

Music:

Killers, White Stripes, Strokes, Bright Eyes, Franz Ferdinand, Dixie Chicks (I know dorky), Classical music. My favorite Composers are Grieg, Debussy, Chopin, Joplin, Copeland, Bartok, Rachmoninov, Brahms, and many others. As for stuff thats more modern, The Beetles, Fallout Boy, Goldfinger, Pati, Jesse McCartney, Queens of the Stoneage, Semisonic, Sublime, Seal, And lots of other stuff. Want to know what I love steal my IPOD and listen to whats on it then you'll get the idea.

Movies:

Young Frankenstein, Mel Brooks movies, documentaries, Horror, Comedy, Black and Whites, Monty Python, and movies with subtitles rock my socks off, Shine, X-men trilogy, Superman Returns, Harry Potter, Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespear In Love, Hero, Historical Fiction, Watership down, and many others.

Television:

Family Guy, Futurama, Adult Swim, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Law and Order SVU, and some other stuff other than that most of the time i'm way busy and don't watch a lot of t.v.

Books:

The eight and the Magic Circle are awesome... and they take history into a totally new direction. Katherine Neville You rock; The Dancing Wu Li Masters and Seat of the Soul by Gary Zuckav. Read those two if you want to learn about Quantum Physics or if you want to find out some of my own spiritual beliefs and how I view the world; Portofino, Zermatt, and Saving Grandma are a great trilogy by Frank Schaffer son of a Presbyterian Theologian. They're about a missionary family that is sent to convert the heathen catholic children of Switzerland to Protestantism through the loving arms of the Presbyterian Church of the USA and not the same Pres. Church I perscribe to; Any o fthe Brendan O'Carroll Chisler series is good to if you like Irish Humor, And I 'd have to say Anything by C.S. Lewis because that really puts religion into perspective and may just give you another view of an author we all know as The Chronicals of Narnia Writer. I suggest reading his Space Trilogy or the Screwtape Letters for a start. F. Scott Fitzgerald is another favorite. I know you've all heard of him because you read the Great Gatsby in 10th grade English Class. Other than that... anything old is great. Watership down, Shakespeare, James Michner, Michael Crichton, Jeff Shara, Michael Shara, Stephen Ambrose, Patricia Cornwell, J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkien's Lesser known works. Dee Brown (Author of Bury My heart at Wounded Knee) This book seriously made me reevaluate american history and cried a little too. The American Culture has a lot to answer for. Mary Doria Russell (The Sparrow, and Children of God).

Heroes:

Superman, Wonder Woman, Gambit, Storm, and Flash. Flash wears a unitard.... he he he Unitard. Anyone who has the guts to go against the status quo, stand up for themselves and others and will take time to sit with their grandparents just to hear a story about the old days.
