Sounds Like: Here's a bit of press and a map of our progress during 2010's 'Never-Ending Tour' tour:
"...upstairs in the live room the mellow sound of LOWRISERS who do a sort of lo-fi jazzy and mostly acoustic thing. Their rather slight female singer has a wonderfully rich and soulful voice, there's bongos and a melodica, and they feel like the sort of loose doing-it-for-fun band you catch at a festival and end up dancing to with people with dreadlocks. And their set-ending hippy groove take on The Beastie Boys' "Fight For Your Right To Party" is a surprising triumph." - Manchester Music Online. 'Friends of Manchester Festival 09'.
"This band has so much potential. I love their stuff!" - Mike George, DJ, Wythenshawe FM
"Sounds like everything and nothing you have ever heard before" - Miles (Mike's mate).
We play both types of music: Loud and Quiet! We are currently experimenting with a more acoustic line-up of Lead Vocal, Guitar, Bass, Percussion based round a cahon and bongos; all backed up by four-part harmonies and a lovely lead vocal - you will also hear other noises appear such as the mighty melodica.
Many styles fuse together with a heavy undertone of Reggae, Funk and Folk... but if you can suggest what we sound like, then please let us know!
