SOL INVICTO
Sol Invicto was formed back in 2006 after Eric Bobo played Stef Carpenter a drum & bass tune called Unidose (which was produced by Richie Londres & Aj Cookson) it seemed to catch his attention so Stef immediately got to work laying down some guitars and sent the mix back to London.
The tune was originally going to be a one off collaboration but everyone realised it had a lot more depth to it as a group and so Sol Invicto was formed.
Due to the touring and studio scheduals of 4 different bands it took a while to get the project moving. In 2008 they brought in Zach Hill (Team Sleep/Hella) to provide the drums for the debut EP and began working on the album. Guest vocalists will be announced soon as well as official remixes.
The album aims to blend metal, hip hop and drum & bass and the band hope to take the album on the road some time in the future.
Richie Londres commented recently
“Sol Invicto is such a great project to be involved with, granted it’s been a slow starter but there are no real limits to this project so as a producer its very appealing. We just want it to be intense and really heavy! Its going to be an interesting process finding our sound along the way but it wont take long once everything is in motion. We are working on the album now and will put out the EP very soon, thanks to all the fans for being patient with us, this is no white elephant I promise you!â€
