About Me

Child's mind, child's heart, Koro Osanago is the Lo-Tech alter ego of Relax Beat producer Jacques Fantino.
Thanks to his grand-mother who was a classical piano concert performer, Jacques Fantino was initiated to music onto her instrument by his mother, and began composing little pieces at the age of 8. While keeping playing acoustic, the creative potential of synthesizers and drum machines led him to become soon interested in the electronic music equipment which was appearing in France by the time he was a teenager. Thus, inspired by the early video game sounds, he started to produce retro-futuristic tracks such as Mini-Klik, as well as EBM music. In the early 90's, while finishing his school graduation, he studied electro-acoustic music at the CIRM, and for the first time produced an entire album (WHATS / Press Fire to Continue) for the Belgian label Antler Subway. Starting to produce soundtracks for theatre shows, he then discovered house music during his trips to Belgium, and, since the mid 90's, he has joined forces with Thierry Criscione to create the production company Relax Beat.
Beside Koro Osanago's love for the 8-bit sound, Jacques Fantino is running the electro project Atlantis with Thierry Criscione. Inspired by the myth of Atlantis, T&J's Atlantis E.P. is available from now on as a 21st century digital release, introducing the forthcoming album Atlantis to follow soon.
By the fall 2005, Relax Beat have started the production of GLITTER & BLEEP: Joystick Pop , a concept album gathering around T&J the best European lo-tech artists, and to be released on November 2006 in partnership with Cyclo Records and Atal Music.
