About Me

..Mike Chase is a San Francisco born singer/songwriter. A deep and widely varied passion for music and a love for the turn of a phrase, gives a unique perspective to his artistry. Performing on piano and guitar , Mike guarantees a sometimes soul-full, sometimes histrionic- but always unforgettable experience. In and out of bands for decades with various local and world-renowned musicians, both living and dead- but never one to drop names- Mike remains unknown but to a very select few (several of which are not his family). Mike currently plays keys in the Sons of Eden, and the Tomorrowes, and is 1/3rd of the gothic-funk power-trio Epiphanette [check out: www.epiphanette.com]. He has also been known to rock out in CoCo County with the amazing Garageland Rodeo.Spectacularly overlooked as a solo performer, Mike has managed to gain little or no notoriety whatsoever. Having experienced the light and darkness of the urban Generation X's quest for purpose, Mike’s songs range from comic to tragic, but always retain the questions, challenges, outrages and hilarity of a soul in search of the truth- or at least a little attention. Mike's boisterious cheers (YEAH!) can be heard at venues all over the bay, especially at Open Mics. Mike Chase has been the featured performer at numerous Open Mics at local venues, including the Freight & Salvage and Hotel Utah. Still a Bay Area resident, he performs wherever a piano- that is reasonably in tune- can be found...or not.
